@one projects around our region

Blue Boar Lane
Whitlingham
Broadholme
Holywell Row
Blue Boar Lane

This £1.7m sewer rehabilitation saw our team repair over 650 meters of pipework along Blue Boar Lane in Norwich. Working alongside Vanderkamp UK our teams built used an over pumping solution to divert the existing main while they relined the damaged pipes, extending the lifespan of the existing pipe by over 60 years, all without needing to dig up the road on the pipes path.

Whitlingham

At our site in Whitlingham, Norfolk we’re increasing the processing efficiency of the treatment works from 20,000 tons of sludge a year to just under 27,000 tons! To do this our team have demolished the old concrete tanks to make way for two brand new digester tanks due to be completed by the end of 2025.

Broadholme

We’re spending £35m at our Broadholme site in Northamptonshire where we’re upgrading the capacity of the treatment works by building four new Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) tanks.

The concrete bases the tanks are built on needed over 300 concrete mixing trucks!

Holywell Row

At our project on Holywell Row in Suffolk we’re installing five huge pipes measuring 1500mm in diameter and 45 metres in length. These pipes will hold excess rainwater which often builds during stormy conditions before gradually releasing it back into the network at a manageable rate.

This system has been designed to withstand a 1-in-30-year storm!

A History of the @one Alliance

AMP4 (2005-2010)

AMP4 saw Anglian Water become one of the first organisations in the water industry to adopt an Alliancing model to replace the old partnering process used in AMP2 and AMP3.

AMP5 (2010-2015)

In AMP5 the Alliance matured even further by adopting its innovative outperformance commercial model – meaning each partner organisation receives a share of the money the Alliance saves through efficiently delivering schemes with Anglian Water’s share reinvested back into more schemes.

AMP6 (2015-2020)

AMP6 came with ambitious targets including our 2030 Net-Zero plan and our commitment to reduce capital carbon by 70% from our 2010 baseline. We delivered over 800 schemes across the AMP at a value of £1.2bn.

AMP7 (2020-2025)

Despite the worldwide uncertainty brought about by the pandemic the @one Alliance once again delivered for Anglian Water with another £1.2bn programme of work that included storm tanks, phosphorous removal and first-time sewage connections to name a few.

AMP8 (2025-2030)

Despite the worldwide uncertainty brought about by the pandemic the @one Alliance once again delivered for Anglian Water with another £1.2bn programme of work that included storm tanks, phosphorous removal and first-time sewage connections to name a few.
